If you want to change the icon later on, all you have to do is click on the star icon in the bottom left corner of your screen. If you're playing a mission in Homescape, and you get to choose a certain icon, that icon will be used by your character for that particular mission. That coin is useless in Homescape unless you can use it as an icon.
